We’re delighted to showcase a blog written by one of our valued customers, Lesley, who kindly recorded a personal photo blog of the day-to-day progress of Nb. Yarwood, her narrowboat.
Here are a few of our favorite excerpts taken from the blog:
We arrived at the workshop yesterday afternoon to find the sides of the hull were now in situ and that Matt had began to fashion, or should that be ‘fabricate’, the SWIM
We are really pleased with the choice of Lambon Boats for the hull. Very customer focused, very skilful and very determined to get it right!
We have been so impressed by the skill of these men and thoroughly enjoyed watching our boat emerge..
We are absolutely delighted with what the folks at Lambon have done, both the quality and detail and the timescales. Yarwood is going to be a good looking boat but then we are somewhat biased I suppose…
While Joe and I were away caravanning in Suffolk, Ian at Lambon Boats was taking photo’s of the progress and emailing them to me each day so that I could keep Yarwood’s blog updated.
So you have fitted the engine then? – “No, it’s still in it’s big crate” came the reply. Now either this was big wind-up or, Lambon were cutting a engine hatch in the cabin top…. our money was on wind-up but…. we weren’t sure. Of course when we got to see Yarwood, there was the engine in its engine ‘ole and there was Ian with a big grin on his face. Yep, WIND-UP accomplished.
